Avoid costly dialing errors with PortData Comply

Reaching customers by telephone is undoubtedly an essential part of connection and engagement for many businesses, especially since the phone number has become the primary source of one’s digital identity. In order to protect both consumers and businesses, there are regulations set forth by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) that prohibit the use of autodialers or pre-recorded voice messages to any telephone number in which the called party may be charged.

With more than 600K telephone number porting transactions daily in the U.S. alone, it can be difficult to determine whether a telephone number is wireless or wireline by just examining the telephone number itself. Yet failure to comply with these regulations may result in large fines potentially damaging the reputation of companies in violation. Additionally, there is a risk of overcorrecting, thereby missing out on engaging with telephone numbers that are allowed under the TCPA regulations.

Fortunately, there is a solution that helps companies such as call centers, contact centers, market research firms, marketing agencies, telemarketers and debt collectors comply with TCPA regulations. How? By providing convenient, exclusive access to data indicating which telephone numbers are ported between wireless and wireline each day.

Keep your calls in compliance

PortData Comply provides secure access to daily updates of telephone numbers that have ported between wireless and wireline. As the nation’s only authoritative source of this information, PortData Comply is used by a variety of organizations, including:

A vital resource for three distinct customer types

Whether the data to be accessed will be used by companies themselves, or to support customers, there are three subscription options to meet specific telephone numbering data needs:

Direct customers

Direct customers that use the porting data for themselves to help avoid engaging in TCPA-prohibited conduct.

Reseller customers

Reseller customers that disclose, assign, lease, or sell, the porting data to a third party that itself qualifies to receive the data so they can help avoid engaging in TCPA-prohibited conduct.

Second Tier customers

Second Tier customers that receive porting data from a Reseller customer so that the Second Tier customer can itself help avoid engaging in TCPA-prohibited conduct.
